SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 29, 2018-- Western Digital Corp. (Nasdaq: WDC) today announced the appointments of Kimberly Alexy and Stephanie Streeter to its board of directors. Alexy and Streeter were also appointed to the audit committee of the board of directors.
Together they bring to Western Digital decades of experience in strategic leadership in vertically integrated manufacturing, supply chain and distribution.
Alexy, 48, founded Alexy Capital Management, a private investment fund, in 2005 and serves as its principal. Alexy has been an active board member at multiple publicly-traded technology companies for many years and will contribute her deep experience in data analytics, cybersecurity and the Internet of Things. Streeter, 61, is an accomplished business executive who will provide management and operational expertise to the Western Digital board. Streeter served as the chief executive officer of Libbey Inc., a producer of glass tableware and other tabletop products, from 2011 to 2016, where she developed and implemented a new corporate strategy and reconstructed the company’s balance sheet, manufacturing network and cost base.

Alexy previously held executive research analyst roles at several financial services firms for nearly a decade, including at Prudential Securities, Lehman Brothers and Wachovia Bank. Alexy also serves on the boards of directors of Alteryx, Inc., CalAmp Corp., FireEye, Inc., and Five9 Inc. Alexy is a chartered financial analyst and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University and a Master of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.
Streeter served as the acting chief executive officer of the United States Olympic Committee from 2009 to 2010 and served on its board of directors from 2004 to 2009, prior to joining Libbey. Previously, Streeter held numerous senior management positions at Banta Corporation, a global technology, printing and supply-chain management company, where she served as chairman, president and chief executive officer, and at Avery Dennison Corporation, a global materials science and manufacturing company. Streeter also serves on the boards of directors of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Kohl’s Corporation, and Olin Corporation. Streeter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University.
With these appointments, Western Digital’s board is comprised of eleven directors, ten of whom are external and independent.
